wakeboarding/life
Got to go wakeboarding for the first time this season as part of Brian Jenkins' bachelor party...congratulations B!
See the extended entry for the full scoop.
We rented a boat at Lake Travis from Just For Fun...always get the Deluxe Ski Boat if you rent from there. Apparently the "Standard" designation means "last year's model". Fortunately we were mainly wakeboarding, which meant we didn't really need a ton of speed. We weren't going to get it out of our boat regardless.
Brian Raley brought his awesome Olympus 5.1 megapixel digital camera, which got the following shots, among others.

Hmm. Questions:
1) Are your feet attached to that board? (I would assume so).
2) Is it easier than straight up waterskiing?
3) What was the buoy marking?
4) When are you going to take concerned citizens like myself?
5) Are reprints available?

1) Yes, with ski-boot like bindings.
2) No, probably not. But I learned to wakeboard before I learned to waterski, which led to great consternation when Mary Alice realized I taught her (successfully, btw) how to waterski without having done it myself.
3) Danger. I need to find a quality map of the lake and figure out what exactly is under there.
4) Sometime later this summer...assuming we both have a weekend that's free at the same time.
5) For only $2.99.
