It's not going to stop till you wise up/movie

Finally got a chance to watch Magnolia today, it's been on my list pretty much ever since it came out.

I like it because it's like nothing I've seen before. Most of the movies that I really want to see are like that, I think. I don't know for sure because I haven't seen them, but I'm tired of the same old stuff.
Magnolia had more pain in it than anything I've watched. Drugs, abuse, death. It's all there. Nothing graphic, except for frogs bouncing off a fence, but the pain's still there.
I really like the way the stories intertwine, although that's a convention I've seen before. Still, there's about the way the paths cross and everything meshes together that makes it original. I may have to watch it again and count the flower references.
The music was great, I think I'm going to have to get an Aimee Mann album now.
